Oscar 2019 Awards: Green Paper Surprised and Won Best Film Award

Although many badumed that Rome would be the big winner, the prize was awarded to the film starring Viggo Mortensen. Green Book which won the highest distinction at the 91st edition of the Oscars. He has accumulated three awards in total.

Mexico sang the victory for the first time. The first outstanding prize of the evening was for Rome, best foreign film. "There are no borders, there are no walls that stop the talent," Javier Bardem said in Spanish.

With Angela Bbadet, the actor announced in Rome, by Alfonso Cuarón, the best foreign film. "The films nominated tonight show that we are all part of the same ocean," said the director at the time of the thanks.

Olivia Colman, of La Favorita, became one of the big surprises of the evening when she won the award for best actress.

Mahershala Ali won the Best Supporting Act and Brian Currie, Peter Farrelly (director) and Nick Vallelonga won Best Original Screenplay.

The ceremony began with a brief but very emotional show by the legendary band Queen. Guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and singer Adam Lambert performed the famous songs We are the champions and We will rock.
