Guaidó crossed Buenos Aires and met Macri

The President Mauricio Macri received this Friday in Olivos Juan Guaidó, that he recognizes as president of Venezuela, his oath before the National Assembly of this country.

Venezuelan citizens residing in Buenos Aires gathered in front of the fifth presidential palace and around the San Martín Palace, headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to express their support for Guaidó, as well as other groups who spoke in favor of the management of Nicolás Maduro.

It was an extra step for the Venezuelan opposition leader, who was in Brazil yesterday with Jair Bolsonaro, and this Friday, earlier, in Asunción with the president of Paraguay, Mario Abdo.

"Today begins a new stage in relations between Venezuela and Argentina, a different stage, based on fundamental values ​​and not on the interests of the few, based on fundamental rights: democracy, freedom, respect for rights, "said Guaidó.

Contrary to what his Brazilian counterpart did, the Argentine president did not make a joint statement with Guaidó, but received it at that private meeting.

At a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President of the National Assembly pointed out that "for the Venezuelan people, it is very important that Argentina be recognized for a democratic struggle that takes years"

"I want to thank deeply President Mauricio Macri, Argentina and the Argentine people who have hosted many Venezuelans," he added.

The three countries pleaded for the recognition of the United States to the young Venezuelan leader as president in charge and offered their support. Even Macri spoke about it during his speech at the opening of the ordinary sessions of Congress.

The emphasis is on Guaidó's return to Caracas, since the Federal Supreme Court had forbidden him to leave the country. Therefore, if he returned, he would be detained.
