At least 14 people, including a miner, died Saturday when a plane from the airline Laser crashed into a plane jungle area of ​​the Colombian department of Meta, in the center of the country.

"According to preliminary information, the plane was found on the road (hamlet) of La Bendición", reported Aeronáutica Civil.

For his part, Martinez explained that La Bendición, which is part of the municipality of San Martín (Meta), was sent to the Red Cross and firefighters in the region.

The American-made DC-3 has come into force operation in Colombia in 1935, but more than 80 years later, some of these aircraft still operate in remote areas of Colombia, mainly for flights in the Llanos Oriental region.
