The new line in Córdoba makes it possible to produce 10 million liters per year of liquid value-added products using the UHT method (
ultra high temperature), heat treatment of the sterilized milk. The inauguration will allow the company to grow with "liquid versions" of value-added proposals with brands such as Nesquik, Nido and NAN.

Acting from Villa Nueva, the executive said that there was a worldwide trend towards liquid products and explained: "This is no longer a segment reserved for soft drinks, but milk that has entered the market, the opportunity to bet through our brands. " The facilities include a second line with the same capacity as the one inaugurated today. The decision will be made in about a year and a half.

The investment – part of the $ 5,200 million program implemented in Argentina over the last four years – makes this plant the third largest company in the world to produce infant formula in UHT format.

In addition, Aubry indicated that after 15 years, the company had stopped importing condensed milk from Chile and had resumed manufacturing it at the Firmart plant for which it had invested 1 million US dollars. "We have 47 million people, consumers are interested in value-added products, we trust the Argentine market," he added.

Next year, the brand's six factories and its headquarters in Argentina will have all their energy systems from renewable sources, "in accordance with the company's commitment to preserve natural resources for the future generations".
