The new challenge that has penetrated social networks is the "Trashtag Challenge" and consists of cleaning garbage from green spaces and beaches.

Unlike many other viral challenges, such as # 10YearsChallenge or #BirdBoxChallenge, this challenge has a more constructive purpose.

This is not the first time that a "challenge" has goals of charity or solidarity. In the case of #IceBucketChallenge, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) has been better known and a lot of funds have been collected thanks to the actions of celebrities who participated in the challenge.

The name comes from the fact that the English words trash and tag have been added to allow friends to follow.

The challenge began last weekend on a popular website in North America and has been extended to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where users shared their images before and after taking up the challenge.
