Porsche must manufacture again your fastest car because of sinking of the Italian freighter "Grande America", was produced on the French Atlantic coast last week after a fire. Despite the safety of the people, there were about 2,000 cars on the bottom of the sea, including a cargo of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

The accident had as its protagonist the ship that had taken off from Hamburg (Germany) and was due to land in Casablanca (Morocco), but it caught fire and sank in front of La Rochelle, France. The 26 crew members were saved unharmed, but not the containers: 45 of them containing hazardous substances and about 2,000 luxury brand cars.

As reported by Clarinamong the vehicles, there were many Audi units, in particular models A3, A5 Coupé and Sportback, Q7, RS4 and RS5; several Porsche Cayenne, 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman.

The four Porsche 911 GT2 RS (limited edition) were the most useful. They had been sold to four Brazilian customers, who had disbursed the equivalent of about 22 million pesos to acquire the most extreme version.

The Carscoop site shared the letter received by the unfortunate buyers: "The Brazilian Porsche regrets to inform you that the boat of Grimaldi group that was carrying his vehicle sank on March 12, 2019. GT2 RS can not be delivered."

Consequently, the German company will have to rebuild the cars and deliver them by mid-June this year.
