Until now, only an annual delivery of $ 25 per door-to-door service is allowed, but the government felt that it would be appropriate to modify it in order to continue the process of "normalization" of the door. Argentine economy.

The international door-to-door service via Correo Argentino will be simplified as of April 1, since the whole process can be carried out online and it will not be necessary to go to the customs to withdraw the purchase.

This was organized by the national executive power by a decree published this Friday in the Official newspaper.

The text explains that "it is necessary to modify the regulations relating to the postal system in order to facilitate the management processes and to improve the quality of the attention of the users and the control, in function of current technological progress ".

The amendments indicate that "if the shipment exceeds the value or the annual quota established above, the surplus will be subject to the payment of taxes corresponding to the current regime".

Today Correo Argentino treats 8,000 parcels a day. With the new door to door, we expect that it will reach 40,000 people.

The buyer will make a "purchase notice" via a new Argentine mail portal, which will allow you to receive notification of the arrival of the shipment to the country via a E-mail instead of a telegram.
