The federal company showed official records indicating that the ship had left the port of a country from South America to get to the port of Coatzacalcos.

"This ship has no connection with Petróleos Mexicanos," said a source at the state's productive enterprise.

The Mexican media insisted that the oilman named Sandino in honor of the Nicaraguan leader Augusto César Sandino arrived in Mexico loaded with gasoline.

The arrival of Sandino in Veracruz surprised because it was two months after the sanctions that the United States had imposed on the Venezuelan government for sending gasoline to other countries and countries. because Mexico had not allowed the import of gasoline from this nation. Thus, in the newspaper, Venezuela should not have allowed the ship to leave for the Aztec territory, otherwise it could have problems with Donal Trump's government.

Another reason why the arrival of this vessel was described as unusual is that it arrived two months after the shortage. this was experienced in the country after the government of Andrés Manuel López decided to fight against the theft of fuel, called "huachicoleo".

The late landing of Sandino in the port of Coatzacoalcos is thought to be a consequence of the decision taken in January when gasoline pipelines were closed as part of Lopez Obrador's "huachicoleo" measures.. At that time, ships from Italy, the United States, South Korea and other countries had not been able to discharge fuel for weeks due to the closure of pipelines.
