Cruise Viking Sky, who suffered crashes on Saturday in dangerous waters in front of the Norwegian boat with more than 1,300 pbadengers on board, managed Sunday to start three of its four engines and will be towed to the port, announced the services of Norwegian urgency.

The evacuation of pbadengers with the help of four helicopters continued Sunday morning, said Per Fjeld, spokesman for the emergency center.

According to the police, 338 of the 1,373 people aboard the huge cruiser had already been relocated to the ground after being literally hoisted one by one by helicopters.

"Three of the four engines are working, which allows the ship to move alone," said Fjeld.

At the beginning of Sunday morning, the Viking sky was moving at about 2 knots along an extremely dangerous coast near the reefs.

Now the ship will be towed to the port of Molde, the spokesman said.

At least 17 people evacuated from the ship had to be hospitalized. According to the Norwegian police, the majority of pbadengers are British and American citizens.

Other boats came into the area and a ground reception center was opened for pbadengers.

In the same area, a merchant ship also suffered an engine failure, police said in a tweet. The nine people on board must be evacuated.

The Viking Sky was chartered in 2017 by the Norwegian operator Viking Ocean Cruises.
