The photo that has become viral.

When the mathematician John R. Watret approached the badpit of the plane to greet the pilots, he could not believe what he was seeing.

At the helm of the flight was a mother and her daughter. Watret took a picture and posted it on his Twitter account.

The image of the two women who flew the Delta Airlines flight between Los Angeles and Atlanta quickly traveled around the world.

It shows the smiling faces of the captain of the ship, Wendy Rexon, and her daughter, co-pilot Kelly Rexon, commanding a flight of nearly 5 hours.

"I just flew with this crew, Mother Daughter at LAX Delta to ATL, Awesome," wrote Watret last Sunday.

The mathematician had heard a pbadenger say that his mother and daughter were flying the plane and wanted to confirm it in person. "I thought it was incredible, I was amazed," Watret said.
New York Post,

As it was later known, the Rexon are a family related to aeronautics. Captain Wendy's father is a retired pilot and her husband is on a flight for American Airlines. In addition to Kelly, who accompanied her this time as a co-pilot, Wendy has another daughter, Kate Rexon, who is also flying planes.

"Nice to share the story of the meeting with mother and daughter," Watret said later. "It's good for aviation and a source of inspiration for all of us."
