Russia confirmed the arrival of a military mission to Venezuela: planes have moved personnel and equipment

Russian government sources said Sunday about the arrival of two air force ships from the ally of Nicolás Maduro, while the chavist regime remains silent on the military deployment at Caracas airport.

The Russian State Agency Sputnik indicated that the ships, which landed Saturday at Maiquetía International Terminal, they arrived with military personnel and equipment.

"Russia has several contracts undergoing compliance, military technical contracts, several flights and several things."explained a source from the Russian Embbady in Venezuela, quoted by Sputnik.

The unidentified leader also tried to dispel the suspicions aroused by the aircraft amidst political tension in the country. "They have nothing mysterious about it," he said, noting that the deployment was taking place under agreements signed several years ago.

According to flightradar24 flight tracking application, the first plane left on Friday the Chkalovsky base in Moscow. According to Venezuelan journalist specializing in security issues, Javier Mayorca, the ship would have disappeared 99 Russian militarycommanded by the head of the Russian Land Forces Main Command Vasily Tonkoshkurov.

A few minutes later, an Antonov An-124, RA-82035 registration plate, lands with 35 tons of materials "belonging to the contingent that has just landed," added Mayorca on his Twitter account, without specifying the source. Venezuela's armed forces have combatants, combat helicopters, tanks, armored vehicles, missiles, bombs, cannons and Russian weapons. In addition, they have anti-ballistic systems and anti-aircraft defenses of the Eurasian giant.

Russia is one of the greatest allies of Nicolás Maduro, which he publicly supports in the face of the Guaidó challenge. The Chavista regime generally refers to Russia, which provides it with weapons, technologies and other resources, as a "strategic ally" of its multilateral policy.
