Madeleine McCann: a series revived interest in the case not yet resolved

The McCanns had eaten their children early and put them to bed. "Today was one of the happiest days of my life," Madeleine told her mother kissing her goodbye. Once the boys were asleep, Kate and Gerry closed the window of the room but left open the back door that opened onto a patio.
