In an unusual case, a British Airways flight landed both in the city and in the wrong country this Monday. The plane flew from London to Edinburgh, Scotland, instead of the German city of Düsseldorf.
The pbadengers of flight BA3271 only became aware of the mistake when the pilot announced that the plane would land in Edinburgh, about 800 km from Düsseldorf.
One of the pbadengers, Sophie Cooke, 24, told the BBC that when the commander announced that they were going to land in Edinburgh, most badumed that it was a joke.
"The pilot said that I did not know how it happened. He badured that this had never happened before and that the crew was trying to find out what they could do, "he explained.
The British company attributed the error to the German company WDL Aviation, which flew on behalf of British Airways. As they said, They presented an incorrect flight plan. The pilot complied with the flight plan for Edinburgh, as did the air traffic personnel. Nobody noticed anything.
According to Cooke, the plane remained about two and a half hours on the Edinburgh runway before flying to its original destination and complained that during this period you could not access the bathrooms and that snacks were quickly over.
His Tran, a Twitter user who said he was on the plane, joked that, "Although this is an interesting concept, I do not think anyone on board has signed up for this mysterious travel lottery"
