Holy Week: Religiosity, Music and Gastronomy, in Misiones

The Semana Santa is a period that undoubtedly marks the tourist agenda of the Red Earth, conquering, year after year, the attention of thousands of travelers who come to enjoy its natural, cultural and historical attractions.

One of the most important attractions of this date is the popular mbad of missions. The proposal aims to complete the essence of each film production by a four-step menu that gives each film an identity, taking into account its place of origin and its plot.

This will be achieved through the presentation of four films, which will be screened on Thursday, April 18, Friday, April 19, Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 at the IMAX Knowledge Park, in Posadas.

The first will be "Carasucia", the first animation for children in the province, Thursday at 18h. Friday at 20h, it will be the turn of "Las Herederas", a Paraguayan film awarded several times. On Saturday, at 8 pm, a film of Brazilian origin will be presented, which is an animation for adults. And Sunday, "Danza", a film from the Basque Country.

On the other hand, at 9 o'clock in the morning of Holy Thursday, Chrism Mbad, one of the most important celebrations of the year for the Catholic community, will be held in front of Posadas Cathedral. Presided over by Bishop Rubén Martínez and concelebrated with the priests of the diocese of Posadas, it is the ceremony in which the holy chrism is consecrated.
