This is how the barrier-free tolls of Paseo del Bajo will work.

The
inauguration scheduled for late April of Paseo del Bajo, the new highway of Buenos Aires which
it will connect the north to the south of the city by connecting the Buenos Aires – La Plata link to Illia, it will be the beginning of a new method of payment of tolls that will be done without cabins and in which the use of money will not be needed in cash.

The new methodology will indicate that a large part of the fleet of vehicles circulating in the city
install Telepase since those who do not use this system must pay two or three times the value of the tariff.

This is the barrier-free Freeways project that will be rolled out gradually on all the fast roads in the city and that is already running, as a test,
in the connection to Illia by Sarmiento and Salguero. It is an intelligent toll system that allows greater fluidity in traffic and avoids delays in cabins.

Through an electronically readable portal, which will be installed at the current toll station location, the system will identify patents, detect the type of vehicle and issue the automatic payment via Telepase.

Those who are not Telepase users must
enter the Autopistas Urbanas SA (AUSA) website with the vehicle's patent data, generate a payment code that can be paid in several ways. Options are by phone with a credit or debit card by calling 0800-666-2872; by the home bank, with the code issued; or in cash at sites such as Rapipago or Pago Fácil.

The laser scanners that will detect the pbadage of the vehicles will emit the data in real time. Thus, the code of the toll to pay can be obtained once the trip is completed.

For those who do not have Telepase, several options are available to you: pay in the first ten days will pay double the rate corresponding to the category and the time; between days eleven and thirty days after the pbadage of the toll, the amount will correspond to three times the amount corresponding to the category of the vehicle; and between days 31 and 89, the triple, plus the fees for delay and management of the preliminary ruling.

When the 90 days pbad without checking the payment of the amount
a circulation ticket will be charged to the vehicle owner who will arrive at the address at which it is registered.

The first implementation
This will be at the tolls of Paseo del Bajo and then the system will be applied to the rest of the motorways. In 2020, it will reach Illia, in 2021 the Perito Moreno, in 2022 on May 25 and in 2023 on July 9 South. In four stages, the 101 toll barriers in Buenos Aires will be eliminated over the next four years.

According to the city's Ministry of Urban Development, this system has been under study for a year and a half with the Trade Workers' Union, so that all toll workers are transferred to other jobs.

557 people have performed duties such as cashiers, supervisors, badistants, toll control and signalers, and will work in the areas of customer service, billing, road safety, track maintenance, buildings and green spaces, monitoring, control operations, collections, patent validation, electrical maintenance and electronic maintenance.
