Yesterday, March 27, around 8:30 pm, a group of settlers from Nahualá, Sololá, stayed on the inter-American road to find out the identity of a man who died a few minutes earlier. A truck, supposedly at an excessive speed, hit people.
Minutes after the accident, relief agencies and government authorities reported more than 30 deaths, but at the start of flight hours, local authorities confirmed 18, including the community leader killed in an accident occurred a few minutes ago. The detainee was identified as Pedro René Lorenzo López, 28, from Concepción Chiquirichapa, Quetzaltenango.

- Among the actions undertaken, the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) and the local authorities proceeded to the installation of a mobile morgue in the municipal hall of Nahulá.
