Due to the intense seismic activity, the Copahue volcano was again on yellow alert

The National Geological and Mining Service of Chile (Sernageomin) has alerted the Copahue volcano from green to yellow due to the intensification of seismic activity. This was known this Friday afternoon by a declaration of the trans-Andean body.

According to Sernageomin's report in the last month, 943 seismic events badociated with the fracturing of rigid materials have been detected. The most important "was produced on March 2 with an intensity of 3.6 on the scale of Mercalli and 11 kilometers from the active crater El Agrio".
