At the same time, 66% of respondents consider their pets to be part of their family, while 3 out of 10 consider them to be friends or companions. 68% of cat owners and 78% of dog owners feel very attached to them.
Two out of three people agree that the biggest motivation to incorporate pets into the family is to have a good time with them. And 80% say that caressing is part of their everyday life.

The survey also explored perceptions about the link with animals in adults with diseases and between parents of children with a given pathology. When talking about the emotional relationship that binds them to their animals, 80% of homeowners who suffer from a type of illness say that it is "A bond of trust and unconditional love".
