Tepikina, from Nizhneserginskaya, in the Sverdlovsk region, kissed her daughter for the first time, when an unbearable pain invaded her body. The obstetrician had pulled the umbilical cord and the terrible sensation that he felt, although no one knew, was linked to a disease that affects some women during childbirth.

Usually, the placenta is detached from the uterine wall after the baby is born, but there is a condition called Placenta Accreta (adhered). This is a condition that occurs during pregnancy, when the placenta adheres deeply to the uterine walls.

It can be detected during pregnancy and, if diagnosed, it is possible that a premature cesarean section is performed, followed by surgical removal of the uterus (hysterectomy).

In the case of Tepikina, doctors did not do the tests to find out if he had Accreta placenta. The obstetrician pulled the cord, which made him terrible internal bleeding. "My daughter was suffering, she was screaming in pain, but the doctor did not pay attention to her and kept firing," said Father Dmitry (47).

The family has friends who work at the hospital, who witnessed what happened and testified to the police. "Alisa screamed so loudly that she could be heard throughout the hospital, it's something of the Middle Ages," added the man.

The young woman who had a shock of pain, fallen into a coma and never regained consciousness. The hospital had planned to place a private helicopter to take her to a specialized surgical center, but they felt her body was too weak to move her.

Elena Barannikova, Medical Director of Nizhneserginskaya Hospital, said her doctors "are not the culprits" and that "the uterus has spontaneously reversed."

Finally, Alisa is dead. His mother Svetlana Cheshko (42) said that the official cause of his death was "a serious shock caused by the pain" and that they had taken legal measures in this regard. The obstetrician was suspended and the Russian investigation committee confirmed the opening of a criminal case.
