This time, the world famous Scimago ranking has ranked Conicet among the world's best public scientific research institutions, including those of NASA.
Scimago is a conglomerate of scientific and academic institutions in Spain and since 2009 carries out a survey on the production of scientific knowledge worldwide. To do this, it takes into account the research results indicators, the innovation indicators and their social impact, and generates from these data different lists of institutions.
In this year's ranking, the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet) ranks 21st out of 1391 public research institutions in the world. Ranked # 22 is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the NASA of the United States. The ranking is led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) of France.
