Cleaning in the Uruguay River: they released about five tons of garbage in the vicinity of El Soberbio and San Javier

The wonderful day allowed an excellent navigation in the river, where held the bi-national cleaning day "For a healthier Uruguay river", which was again twinned with the province of Misiones (Argentina) and with the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil)) with the participation of institutions, municipalities and civil society actors from both States.

Nearly 50 vessels participated, including boats, canoes, canoes, kayaks and jet skis, which collected between 5 and 6 tons of waste in the municipalities upstream of El Soberbio and San Javier.
