The National Civil Police (PNC) proceeded to capture the son of the Justice of the Peace with eight members of the 18 Revolucionarios neighborhood during an operation conducted in a house in San Salvador.

The detainee's name is Luis Alejandro Duarte Méndez, 26, who, along with eight other members of the 18-member group, was captured on Tuesday morning. He is accused of illicit grouping and receiving.

In the house where Duarte was captured, four people linked to the 18th gang were arrested, as well as a 2017 vehicle belonging to the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), which is badigned to the Justice of the Peace. Talnique, The Libertad.

For his part, police chief Howard Cotto said they could not determine whether the vehicle badigned to the judge was in possession of the son in the house.

He also said that he would consult with the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) and the CSJ for the delivery of the vehicle, once the procedure has been completed.

A total of 15 people were arrested during raids at the Delux motel in the Atlacatl district of San Salvador and six other houses.

Among those arrested are gang members who allegedly participated in killings and extortion in the municipality of Mejicanos, as well as the attack on two minibuses on Route 6-A, a fact occurred on Monday. evening.
