Lived woman with 88 cats, a dog and a fish

Michigan police in the United States evicted a woman from the town of Mount Clemens and found that 88 cats, a dog and a beta fish were crammed into their homes. The animals lived "in deplorable conditions", but they had already been saved.

The case was unearthed on March 28 during the police eviction operation of the woman, aged about 60 years old and settled in the property in November 2017, has announced the WXYZ Michigan site.

The house in question is a 112 square meter ranch with three environments, all filled with animals, their trash and their garbage in general. The woman apologized for the stench and dirt saying that she had a sanctuary at her home.

The situation of the animals also did not help the fact that the woman had stuck the windows of the house facing the street to avoid inquisitive glances. Even so, a neighbor alerted the police about the presence of about 13 cats, but the soldiers found nearly 90, many of whom were sick and lived in the woman's car.

There was also the dog, described as "a very friendly Maltese cross", according to Chief of Animal Control of Macomb County, Jeff Randazzo. Mount Clemens in a town of about 20,000 inhabitants not far from Lake St. Clair, in Macomb County. Local prosecutor Eric Smith said cases of "animal abuse will not be tolerated" and will demand justice for the cats, dogs and fish involved.
