Deranged came to the synagogue in California: killed a woman | Chronic

At least one person was killed and three others injured last Saturday when a man – later detained – stormed a synagogue in Poway, near San Diego, California, where worshipers were preparing to celebrate the Pbadover.

The event was condemned by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who warned that he did not have too much information but that everything suggested that it was a "hate crime".

The attack initially left four injured, but Poway Mayor Steve Vaus confirmed that one of them had died.

"Hatred has no place in any community … except for Poway, we are going to hug and we will go through this tragedy like the family we have always been and we will always be #PayayStrong ", wrote Vaus on his Twitter.

The mayor also confirmed that one man had been arrested and that the three wounded had been taken to the Palomar hospital near the scene.

According to Vais, the act could have constituted a hate-motivated crime "because of statements made at the entry of the shooter into the synagogue," reported the EFE news agency.

"A man was arrested to interrogate him about the shooting in the Poway synagogue," Sheriff Bill Gore said in a message posted on his Twitter account.

The events took place at 11:30 local time (15:30 Argentina time), half an hour after the start of a ceremony for Pbadover.

Poway is a small town of 50,000 people located 30 kilometers north of San Diego (Southern California), on the border with Mexico.

The synagogue is located at 16000 block of Chabad Way, Poway.

The attack took place six months after the murder of an armed man in a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as part of the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in US history.

After the 14:30 local, US President Donald Trump addressed the media in the White House Garden to express his "More solidarity with the people affected".

"We are investigating, it seems like a hate crime"Trump said before leaving for Wisconsin to attend a political meeting.

Reflections and prayers to all those affected by the shooting at the Poway Synagogue in California. God bless you all. The suspect was apprehended. The forces of order have done a remarkable job. Thank you!
