Japan gives 10 consecutive days of vacation for the first time

Japan started this spring an exceptional holiday. For the first time, they will give Japanese employees 10 days off.

This break is known as Golden Week. This time, the mandate will extend from April 27 to May 6.

On this occasion, several national festivities are organized on the occasion of the abdication of Emperor Akihito and the subsequent succession to the throne of Prince Naruhito.

"Usually, the summer holidays or the end of the year are longer than the Golden Week .It's crazy we have so many days now," says Eita Uchida, a Tokyo office worker aged 24 years.

However, there are Japanese who do not know what to do with so many days of rest. "I do not know what I'm going to do with so many vacation days," says Uchida, who likes it a lot. "The trains are always crowded these days, just like traveling abroad, everyone will go to other countries and travel is much more expensive, so I stay at home", explains the young Tokyo.
