An inmate brutally tortured his cellmate: he let her bleed, then beheaded

Jaime Osuna, a convicted murderer incarcerated in the state of Corcoran in California, United States, brutally tortured and beheaded to his cell mate, said Kings County Attorney Phil Esbenshade.

The prosecutor said the murderer, 31, cut with "a sharp metal object" the body of Luis Romero. "He was conscious for some of the time," he said, adding, "That's the case scary that I saw in terms of atrocity"

In this regard, spokesman for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation of California, Terry Thornton, said that he was investigating how the crime was committed. Thornton said the guards found Romero dead in his cell Thursday around 7:30 in the prison, which houses more than 3,300 prisoners.

Romero he bled to death for "several acute force injuries" and his body was mutilated, according to an autopsy report released Friday.

Prisoners for murder

Osuna was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole after pleading guilty in 2017 to having killed Yvette Pena, 37, in a Bakersfield motel in 2011.

Romero also filled a conviction for life for a murder in Los Angeles County, but with the possibility of parole.
