A shopkeeper in the Brazilian city of Blumenau fired at a criminal who, hooded and armed, broke into the premises and shot and killed one of the employees at gunpoint.
The 47-year-old cashier took a revolver under the cash register and opened fire on the thief's humanity.
The images were captured by the local security cameras and clearly show what happened at the time of the attempted theft.
The criminal was 29 years old and had a criminal record for several armed robberies. After the fatal outcome, he was transferred to the hospital in Vila Nova, where he eventually died.
