VENEZUELA.- The United States Special Representative for Venezuela, Elliott Abrams, said today that there were negotiations between the anti-Chavez and Chavez leaders in order to expel Nicolás Maduro from the Venezuelan government, but he badured that Washington would not participate.

The official supplemented this statement with a message on Twitter in which he enthused Padrino, Moreno and Hernández.

"This is your last chance: accept the amnesty of interim President (Juan) Guaidó, protect the Constitution and expel Maduro, and we will remove them from the list of sanctions," he told them .

However, Abrams later badured that "the United States was not part of these negotiations" since they "were between Venezuelans".
