Quiet and without any emotion, that's how Tiffany Moss heard that she would receive the lethal injection to starve and then burn the body of her 10-year-old daughter-in-law in Lawrenceville, georgia.

The 36 year old woman was sentenced to death for the murder in 2013 of Emani Moss, daughter of his emotional partner Eman Moss, who is serving a sentence of life imprisonment for complicity in the homicide.

Emani, 10, was confined by Tiffany to a room in her apartment where he kept it without food or water, but surrounded by garbage.

Prosecutors reported that the girl could take weeks to die and during her last days she could not move because of her weakened complexion; at the time of his death I weighed only 32 pounds.

The mother of two children is represented before the jurybut did not submit evidence or witnesses in his favor; even when the judge asked him if he wanted to say something for his defense, she only replied, "no".

One of the testimonies presented by the prosecution was that of Eman Moss, father of the victim and who confirmed his involvement by burning the body of the minor. The man is serving a life sentence in this case since 2015.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that it was Gwinnett District Attorney, Danny Porter, who had asked the jury choose the death sentence for Tiffany Moss, instead of another kind of punishment.

"She has shown too much of her cruelty, there will always be that dark side waiting to come out," Porter said.

The same prosecutor described the accused as "the evil mother-in-law" and to the case as "A story of Cinderella that went terribly wrong".

After hearing all the elements, the jury, consisting of six men and six women, decided to sentence Tiffany Moss to death for the crimes of murder, cruelty to children and to conceal the crime.

Tiffany is currently the only woman to wait for the execution after receiving a lethal injection from June 7 to 14., although the date may be postponed by the appeal of the reserve lawyers badigned to this defense. He will also become the third death row in Georgia.
