"Your interracial family is not welcome": a California family received a racist letter from an anonymous neighbor

A California homeowner received a racist letter warning him that "his interracial family was not welcome", by a neighbor who has hidden his identity.

Mark Yu, of Filipino and Chinese descent, and his Mexican wife, Sandy, discovered the letter in their mailbox in the Meadowlands area in Vacaville on Wednesday.

According to the portalSF door, YuA 43-year-old American from San Francisco, he settled in this neighborhood with his wife and five children from 2 to 12 years old.

"This is not the ghetto", made fun of the anonymous letter. "We can seem severe, but your interracial family is not welcome here", they wrote anonymously.

The threatening letter gives the family 60 days to "leave" the home or promise to "expel him or her in another way".

Yu posted the letter on Facebook and he received great support.

He said that Many neighbors knocked on your door to make sure they welcome their families and express their dissatisfaction with the letter.

"Everyone is not a rotten apple, there are more good people than bad people"Yu said to KTXL-TV.

The family has filed a police report, but The investigators say that although the letter is despicable, it does not reach the level of a crime, so they can not intervene.

The neighbors praise the kindness of the Yu family and say that they have opened their homes for their homeless grandparents and grandchildren, with two women who fought for housing.

Yu was particularly surprised by the letter because in houses along your street, there are at least seven interracial couples, informed KTVU-TV.

This is not the first letter the family has received. Yu says that shortly after her arrival, the family received a less aggressive letter asking them to clean the common part of their house.

He said that a city code inspector had been called and that the family had cleaned up the objects.

Yu said that The previous owner did not keep the yard clean, mainly the brush, and did not have a lot of time to improve it because of his branch manager job from a mortgage company.

He said that he expects the author of the anonymous letter to contact the "owner", since he is himself the owner of the house and that he now gives his face and talk to him personally.

"I'm not going to judge what kind of person this person is, but I'll tell you this:or what did you do was stupid", he told Fox's affiliated television.
