Igor Aparecido Pereira and Ana Paula Saqui de Paula, a young couple from San Pablo, were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby. But what should be an opportunity for the celebration was tragedy when the young woman lost her life during childbirth.

After a day of intense pain, Ana Paula arrived at Sao Luiz Hospital in Boituva on April 26 with nine centimeters of dilation. When the natural birth attempt failed, the woman requested a caesarean section, but she was refused.

Instead, the doctors chose to use forceps technique. Although she survived the procedure and gave birth to a healthy baby, the 18-year-old girl died a few minutes later due to bleeding.

In his Facebook profile, Igor expressed his sadness at the departure of his beloved and his gratitude for all that he left behind. "When will nostalgia go by? As I wanted you here, by my side, for you to be here to help me raise this star," he said.
