A Venezuelan court ordered Thursday to arrest again anti-Chavez leader Leopoldo López, who has resided for two days in the residence of the Spanish ambbadador, after violating his house arrest and joins the failed civil-military uprising of Juan Guaidó last Tuesday

The capital court approved the arrest of López "flagrantly" violating the house arrest measure he had for two years, said a statement issued by the Supreme Court of Justice.

Lopez obeys a two-year house arrest order. After the military uprising on Tuesday, the opposition told reporters that he had been released by rebel soldiers and police.

López He was arrested in 2014 to run street protests and a year later was sentenced to almost 14 years in prison. In 2017, the Supreme Court ordered that the remainder of his sentence be served at his home.
