Lopez has canceled the measure of house arrest "for gross violation," according to a press release issued today by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela.

The court notes that the anti-Chavez, deprived of liberty since 2014 and sentenced to nearly 14 years, also violated "the measure mentioned in the condition relating to political positions by means of conventional and unconventional means of communication, national and international standards, thus demonstrating non-subordination to measures ".

"In view of the above, in its decision, the court issued an arrest warrant against the citizen Leopoldo López, the Bolivian national intelligence service (Sebin)," added the text quoted by the court as saying. EFE news agency.

The court also orders Lopez to continue serving his sentence – of whom he has already served five years, two months and twelve days – at the Ramo Verde military prison, where he was detained until mid-2017.

At the same time, several people whom several witnesses identified as members of the Bolivian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) raided Lopez's home, according to the Europa Press news agency, which added that during the search they had committed robberies.
