Venezuela: Maduro warned that the armed forces were ready to fight "a handful of traitors"

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reiterated today that the Bolivarian Armed Forces are ready to defend the country against "a handful of traitors" who act in accordance with the will of the United States.

Maduro, who has the greatest support for military power over the Chavez uprising, praised the armed forces at a time when his opponents today called on him to go to the barracks to ask for help. help in their fight for change the government.

These mobilizations were called by Juan Guaidó, who was proclaimed president of Venezuela last January on behalf of the National Assembly (AN, Parliament) with the support of the United States and 50 other countries.

Last Tuesday, Guaidó led an uprising that did not have enough strength to overthrow Maduro, who managed to maintain the loyalty of the armed forces' high command.
