He died taking a selfie: a year later, they released the last picture of the young man alive

Gavin Paul Zimmerman was 19 years old when he died when he fell off a cliff while he was trying to play selfie.

The young American was in Cape Solander, south of Sydney, Australia, traveling with his friends.

Witnesses testified that Gavin slipped while trying to take a picture at the edge of the cliff and skated at a height of 10 meters. The young man fell on the rocks and died instantly.

His relatives went to the scene of the accident to remember him and pay tribute to him. "He looked so happy, he had a smile on his face, it seemed like a good day," they said, airing Gavin's latest photo.

After the fall of the young man, his friends were shocked and they did not find his body before calling the police. A group of rescuers in helicopter found him in the water, lifeless.
