Tension in Venezuela: Chavismo arrested the Vice President of the Assembly

Zambrano is one of the 10 deputies to whom the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and the Constituent Assembly, two revolutionary bodies, have seized parliamentary immunity for having followed the call of the president in charge, Juan Guaidó, during the failed military uprising of 30-A. .

All are accused of crimes of treason, conspiracy, instigation to insurrection, civil rebellion, public disobedience to the law, badociation to commit a crime, usurpation of functions and persistent hatred. Mariela Magallanes, leader of La Causa R, went to the political police last night and took refuge in the residence of the Italian ambbadador in Caracas.

"We were surprised by the Sebin, refusing to leave our vehicle, they used a crane to force us directly to the helicoid.We, the Democrats, continue to fight," wrote Zambrano on his Twitter account from inside the vehicle.

Zambrano had himself warned from the first moment that the agents had surrounded his vehicle as he was leaving his party's headquarters in the capital. "We are alerting all Venezuelans at this time, we are surrounded by the Sebin, we are in our vehicle from the facilities of Acción Democrática in La Florida," denounced the MP, who has conducted various attempts at dialogue between opposition and chavism, in addition to constantly claiming the freedom of political prisoners.

Party sources confirmed that the Sebin had carried the armored vehicle with a crane, with Zambrano inside, which had apparently refused to abandon it.
