Matteo Salvini explained why he would prefer to legalize prostitution before drugs in Italy

The Minister of the Interior and Vice President of the Italian Government, the far right Matteo Salvini, said today that, when he had to choose, he would prefer to legalize prostitution before drugs because "to make love, it is always good".

During an election in Montegranaro (central Italy), Salvini said that "The drugs hurt, if you had to legalize or liberalize something, let's talk about prostitution better, because doing love is always good, protected and controlled by a doctor."

Salvini has promised the closure of the many stores that sell in Italy the so-called "cannabis light", which does not exceed a concentration of 0.5% of tetrahydrocannabinol, a principle giving a psychoactive effect.

For the leader of the far right League such stores could "ruin future generations"first of all, he said, because "the (average) age of first consumption was reduced to eleven and twelve years".

"My problem is to take medicine out of the street, from stores and schools because there are many more ways to have fun, be healthier and smarter. I hope that the policy is unanimous on this subject. Drugs hurt, not good drugshe said.

For this reason, several companies have already been closed in the Region of the markets, since the authorities considered that the marijuana sold exceeded the maximum limit of active principle, a directive was issued to strengthen the controls.

From another side asked his government partners, the populists of the Five Star Movement, that they withdraw from the Senate their bill on the legalization, one of the texts in parliamentary procedure on this question.
