This iconic drink has 133 years of history. The review of some curiosities that the brand has experimented with new tastes, slogans and characters

On May 8, 1886, Dr. John Pemberton accidentally mixed his syrup with sparkling water and produced the incomparable taste of the famous Coca Cola.

1 The shape of the glbad bottle, called contour, was designed in 1915 and is inspired by the cocoa bean: oval and elongated.

2 From 1886 to 2009, the brand's slogan changed 47 times for better representation and better identification with the company. His first slogan was that of 1886: Drink Coca-Cola (drink Coca-Cola), in 1923, he changed to Enjoy Thrist, in 1957, he was "Sign of good taste", in 2005, he used Make C'est réel (Make it possible) and from 2009 to the present day, Open Happiness (Uncover happiness).

4 The Santa Claus that we know today is thanks to this drink and to the illustrator Haddon Sundblom, who created the fleshy and bearded figure wearing red wearing a Coca-Cola. Before that, Santa's clothes were green.

The surrealist Salvador Dalí used the outline of the bottle in his painting The Poetry of America, 1943.

Similarly, Robert Rauschenberg, in 1958, pasted three bottles of empty soda in his work Coca-Cola Plan.

And finally, in 1962, Andy Warhol drew glbad bottles in his Green Coca-ColaBottles painting.

6 Mexico is the country that buys the most Coca-Cola products in the world. According to the Brand Footprint study conducted by Kantar Worldpanel in Mexico, 1,354 million Coca-Cola products were purchased in 2018, compared to 1,090 million in the United States.

7 In 1985, Coca-Cola became the first soft drink to reach the space.

8 Few people know about Coca-Cola's secret formula. The concentrate is centrally manufactured and exported to more than 9,000 bottling plants around the world.
