Juan Guaidó denounced "illegal occupation" of terrorist group ELN on Venezuelan territory

The head of the Venezuelan parliament, Juan Guaidó, recognized by more than 50 countries as interim president, badured Friday that the armed forces of his country should "exercise sovereignty"and fight against"irregular occupation"who considers that the Colombian guerrilla ELN is the territory of their country.

"It is time that our armed forces exercise the sovereignty of the nation and fight against this irregular occupation on our territory.Guaidó wrote on his Twitter account.

In this regard, he explained that he had had a conversation with the President of Colombia, Iván Duque, who said shortly before Nicolás Maduro's regime "he was promoter, funder and sponsor of the ELN"

In his statement, Mr. Duque said that he was not surprised that the Venezuelan regime militarily supports the National Liberation Army (ELN), as denounced Thursday a chain of television.

The president reacted well to Cartagena to a journalistic investigation on the chain Network + News that it revealed supposed documents signed by senior Venezuelan military commanders who speak of a Maduro order to support what is currently the main Colombian guerrilla warfare.
