An aircraft of the Burmese national airline landed at Mandalay International Airport in the Asian country. The incident that occurred Sunday was filmed by one of the witnesses.
The plane was flying from Rangoon (center of the country) to Mandalay (south). However, the pilot, also a flight instructor, discovered that the nose gear was stuck.
Therefore, he decided to fly over Mandalay Tada-U airport until exhaustion of fuel to avoid an explosion before the runway planning. The vehicle finally slid down the nose of the aircraft against the asphalt until it stopped in the middle of the lane.
"The plane has landed in the middle of the Mandalay airport runway," said U Ye Htut Aung, deputy director general of the Department of Civil Aviation, quoted by the Myanmar Times. As he explained, the incident was due to a mechanical error and the aircraft had not suffered any serious damage since the pilot training. The plane of the Burmese airline was carrying 82 pbadengers and seven crew members, totaling 89 pbadengers, none of whom were injured.
