A secret negotiation aimed at finding a political solution to the Venezuelan crisis is taking place in Oslo, Norway, according to Venezuelan media revealed and confirmed at Infobae sources in Caracas.

From the meeting they participate two officials representing Nicolás Maduro and two on behalf of the opposition. On behalf of the Chavez regime, there is the Minister of Communication, Jorge Rodríguezand the governor of the state of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez. By opposition, it is claimed that they would be in the Norwegian capital with the former minister of the government of Carlos Andrés Pérez, Fernando Martínez Mottola and the former MP Gerardo Blyde, as confirmed Globovisión and At the boat.

Negotiation would count on the approval of the leader of the popular will Leopoldo Lopez (the same party to which the interim president Juan Guaidó belongs) and Primer Justicia, the force led by Julio Borges.

Norway had a significant participation in the dialogues in Havana that resulted in the historic peace agreement between the Colombian government and the FARC. Therefore, there are those who entertain expectations in Caracas, despite the large number of similar dialogues between Chavez and the opposition that have failed in recent years and have only served to give to the regime more time to retain power.

The Venezuelan crisis has worsened since January 10, when Maduro decided to start a new term supported by the results of the elections of May 20, 2018, in which the main parties and candidates of the opposition have been banned.

This election and the new mandate of Maduro were declared illegitimate by the opposition. On January 23, the National Assembly proclaimed its president, Juan Guaidó, interim president until he could hold democratic elections in the country. Most countries in America and Europe, among others, recognize the authority of Guaidó and demand the termination of the Maduro usurpation. But the regime, despite the hunger and mbad exodus of Venezuelans, still resists.

On April 30, a military rebellion secured Leopoldo López's release from house arrest and attempted unsuccessfully to take the La Carlota military base. Maduro managed to quell the uprising and launched an internal purge. But the cracks in the armed forces – the regime's last support – seem more and more obvious.
