The police hypothesis is that, inadvertently, their headphones got stuck in the folding doors and their heads were stuck outside when the unit was turned on. "We sent the body to the morgue, for an autopsy, and we are investigating the blockage of his head, whether for headphones or something else"explained police inspector TR Bamaniya.

According to Indian Express, his head would have been found on the ground floor, while his body would have been dragged up to the fourth floor. "We are inspected if the elevator was faulty", he said.

The investigators are also badyzing the possibility that Sushila was distracted by her phone and that she was speechless in front of the elevator door before she started to move. "The elevator, which has no roof, is used specifically to transport goods, so his body was dragged up to the top floor and his head was cut off.", the inspector pointed out.

On the other hand, another officer stated that the case had been recorded as an accidental death and that the body of Sushila had been handed over to his family after being found with the help of firefighters.
