The Dutch Minister of Health spoke about the death of Noa Pothoven: he was not euthanized

"We are in touch with your family, who told us that, despite the contrary information international media, there is no euthanasia in this case", confirmed Jonge.

Pothoven pbaded away with his family last Sunday at his home in Arnhem after quitting drinking and drinking.

The young woman had published last year a book entitled "Win or Learn" on his long struggle with anorexia, acute depression and post-traumatic stressbut in a last message on the Instagram network, he claimed that he had "lost the will to live".

A day later, the Dutch media announced the death of Noah and some mentioned the consultation of the young woman at the clinic Levenseindekliniek, a Hague center specializing in euthanasia, to learn more about a possible badisted suicide from which he finally gave up.

The story of Noa became viral after various international media confused the facts and published that he had accepted euthanasia. But at the clinic, Levenseindekliniek issued a statement in which he informed that what had been disseminated about the case was false.

"To put an end to wrong information (in foreign media in particular) about his death, We refer to the statement made by Noa's friends this afternoon: Noa Pothoven has not been euthanized"said the center.

The girl has stopped feeding and hydrating "to end their suffering," they explained to the institution.

De Jonge said that he had asked the health inspection department to "investigate" the case.

"The questions about his death and the care he received are understandablebut it can only be answered when the facts have been established, "said the Minister of Health.
