Osvaldo Acuña He is 34 years old and has Marfan syndrome, an inherited disorder that affects the connective tissue, that is, the fibers that support and maintain the organs and other structures of the body.

In the case of Rosario, the syndrome has affected his vision, which is deteriorating more and more over time. To try to improve, he undergoes 7 operations and although the first 10 years after the interventions give him positive results, a new detachment of the retina complicates its evolution, leaving the only expensive treatment in China. In fact, its value is $ 50,000, including studies, flights and stays, in the Asian country.

Casilda, with Osvaldo

Led by the artist Raúl Lanas, the whole city of Santa Fe de Casilda, where both people live, is mobilized with different solidarity activities.

"The government can not collaborate because this treatment is considered experimental"said the singer. "Osvaldo June 24 must be in China and if not, it will be postponed to next year"added the tango dancer.

"I had to close my sheet metal shop because I could not do anything else"Osvaldo commented. "The pain is unbearable, the silicone oil -which was placed during the operation due to a detachment of the retina- It's extremely painful. I can not go anymore "He said, looked shot.

Tears in her eyes, Rosario told "For several days, I did not sleep and I thought of many things, but every day Matías, my 7 year old son, gives me hope and makes me want to live. Whenever he sees me falling, he wakes me up and encourages me to be active, not to give up. "he added, pointing to a drawing on a piece of cardboard, made in a pen, in which the child made small holes so that his father could "see" what he had given him.

"When I started this campaign, I had a 20% vision"but time has pbaded and now "I only have 5", he said.

Acuña and Lanas both claimed that "Casilda's neighbors have offered themselves up to raise municipal taxes, in order that the local government has a hand and although it is, in front of the money to be able to make the trip ".

"I am desperate, we have collected 500,000 pesos and had to put my house up for sale to see if I could arrive in time to travel, this is my last chance", concluded.

Osvaldo holds in his hand the drawing of his son and only manages to say "Thank you".
