In a second statement, from the Energy Secretariat, they said the reduction "would have been due to a failure of the Yacyretá transport system, which automatically led to the reduction (without human intervention)".

"The percentage of losses was high given the timing in which they occurred, the demand was low, the rest of the producers could not compensate the losses," they added.
