Tegui, infallible: the only Argentine restaurant chosen among the best in the world

Tegui, located in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, was ranked 86th on the list that produces the annual "The 50 best restaurants in the world" but has a total of 120 establishments.

In 2017, Tegui was ranked 49th, just on the edge of the "50 best". But the following year, he leaves the list and falls at number 60, a fall that follows in 2019 and takes him to 86th place.

Anyway, Tegui is the only Argentine to date on the listThis could be reversed on June 25, when the organization announced the names of the restaurants, which are in fact among the "Top 50", given that today only those whose number ranged from 51 to 120 were known.

In addition to Tegui, eight Latin Americans are on this list, most of whom are Brazilian, led by D.OM., from San Pablo, in position 54; followed by Mexican South 777, in 58; the Peruvian Astrid y Gastón, position 67; and Maní, also from São Paulo (Brazil), in 73rd place.

Position 74 was Lasai, from Rio de Janeiro; at 100 Oteque, also in Rio, and at the 109th position, mayor of the Mexican city of Guadalajara.

The ranking was revealed by "The 50 Best Restaurants in the World" on their Instagram account. The first posts will be announced on June 25 during a ceremony in Singapore.

This year, the organization has decided to expand its list of restaurants from 100 to 120 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the founding of the sponsor, the brand of water and non-alcoholic drinks San Pellegrino.
