The National University of Córdoba (UNC) was the seat of the university alliance between the agronomic careers of Mercosur, Bolivia and Chile.

In this way, universities in the region will recognize the training routes of other schools.

Thus, students from six countries will have the opportunity to have an academic experience in another country and take the course.

The agreement was signed in the upper council room and was counting on the signing of the rector of the UNC, Hugo Juri.

The agreement was formalized at the Forum of Agronomy Deans of Mercosur, Bolivia and Chile, which took place at Casa de Trejo from 4 to 5 July.

Expectations

Juri stressed the importance of opening to other countries as being indispensable for students and gave the example of Spain.

At the same time, I am also talking about the future possibilities of this agreement.

"I am convinced that in your field, agricultural technology, the knowledge will concern more students coming to study in our region than those who can go to Europe," he said.

For his part, the Dean of Agricultural Sciences of the UNC, Marcelo Conrero, pointed out that for many years, the agronomic careers of the region were working on the regionalization of their contents and on the approval of the system of academic credits.

"We have been able to sign this fundamental agreement that will allow greater mobility between students, since they will be able to complete semesters in other universities and that these subjects will be recognized," explained Conrero.

With the permission of the UNC.

Mercosur-EU Agreement

On the recent agreement between Mercosur and the European Union, Juri said that there could be no economic integration without people.

The Rector emphasized the integration of higher education that Europe has been doing for years and insisted on the need to replicate this academic integration in Latin America.
