Terminator, guilty of crimes against humanity in Congo

Among his crimes, he executed a priest and ordered the rape of women and girls, one of whom was nine years old. The UN tribunal found that it was proven "beyond a reasonable doubt" that the former guerrilla leader, aged 45, was directly responsible for the crimes of murder and persecution in the region. from Iturí, in the north of the country.

The reading of the sentence reflected the cruelty of the crimes of the military branch of the Union of Congolese Patriots. "Terminator" then became one of the founding members of the M23 rebel group, which was defeated by government forces in 2013. He fled to Rwanda and later fled to the American Embbady of Kigali.

Ntaganda's sentence will be clarified at the next hearing.
