The text adds that the government fully supports the efforts of the European Union "to achieve a peaceful, political and democratic solution to the Venezuelan crisis in the interest of its people", reported the news agency EFE.

Under the previous direction of the left Alexis Tsipras, Greece was until now one of the few countries in the European Union to continue to recognize Nicolás Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela.
