This afternoon, several dozens of people posing as "undocumented immigrants, the residents of the houses, the tenants of the street " They entered the Pantheon, a monument dedicated to the great men of the French Republic, to ask for an appointment with Prime Minister Édouard Philippe.

According to the collective La Chapelle Debout, they were expelled by the back door of the monument and are now outside. The demonstrators denounce that the Police do not want to call firefighters despite several fainting. The situation is tense.

In a statement, the collective Black Vests (Vests Blacks) asks among others "a roof for everyone" and the abolition of detention centers for foreigners. This group brings together undocumented migrants from 43 households in the Paris region of Île-de-France. He is accompanied by the collectives Droit Front and La Chapelle Debout.

The occupiers indicated that they would stay there "until the last one" had "papers." "From now on, here is a base for all undocumented migrants in France," an activist inside the monument said.

The police are present and reinforcements have been deployed around the monument, where hundreds of people have also gathered. The protesters speak successively.

This is not the first spectacular action of this group. In the last month of May, they occupied several emblematic places, such as Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport (in the north of Paris).
